In the whirlwind of managing a thriving salon and juggling life between two cities, Nicole Pidherny, the powerhouse behind Pomme Salon and its Online Shop, shared with us her secret weapon for staying energized and balanced: a good night's sleep on her Haven mattress. “I first heard about Haven through a trusted friend, Jillian Harris, as well as Sammy Thompson. I was asking Jill which bed I should get, and she immediately suggested Haven because they are so comfy.”

Nicole’s days are far from ordinary. Whether she’s in Kelowna, BC, where she founded her first Pomme Salon back in 2015, or in Toronto, where she’s opened a new location on Queen West, her schedule is jam-packed. Beyond her daily tasks, she’s also focused on expanding her brand into the U.S. With so much happening, the time she spends at home becomes incredibly precious, and she’s found that nothing compares to the comfort of her Haven mattress when it’s time to unwind and get the rest she so desperately needs.

“I’ve never been a big sleeper, and I’m not somebody who typically wants to be in bed—so when I’m there, I want it to be the most comfortable and rejuvenating experience.”

Given her semi-bicoastal lifestyle, Nicole makes sure she has a Haven mattress waiting for her, no matter which city she’s in.

“In my home in Kelowna, I have Havens for both my room and my guest rooms, and I have a Haven in my Toronto home as well. I am consistently told by both my guests, and people such as stylists who often stay at my place, that they really just got the best sleep of their life.”

Nicole’s ability to keep going, even when others might start to feel worn out, sets her apart. However, she readily admits that the quality of her sleep plays a significant role in her resilience. After long days and red-eye flights, there’s nothing she looks forward to more than sinking into her Haven mattress. It’s her sanctuary, whether for a quick nap or a full night’s sleep, helping her recharge and maintain her momentum.

“It truly is everyone’s favourite bed. Because I travel a lot and take a lot of red eyes, my favourite thing to do is come home and take a nap on my Haven before starting my day. I find that my sleep—when I’m not on one of my Havens—is a big difference in pain in my neck, my back, and quality of rest.”

Opening a new salon in Toronto is no small feat, and Nicole’s commitment to quality in everything she does extends to her sleep environment. She understands that to be at her best—whether she’s styling hair, managing her team, or planning her next big move—rest must be a priority.
